Kill the lights... literally. The Bang! Lamp is a big fuck you slap in the face to the Clapper and the out-of-date light switch. Instead of hitting the switch on the lamp you can bust a cap in it and "put its lights out". Shooting the lamp electronically tips the lamp shade over and turns out the light. Pulling a gun on your lady friends right before a late rendezvous is a great James Bond"ish" way to hit the lights and get down to more dangerous activities.
